Handwriting (DocView OmniRead) — document capture template

DocView OmniRead reads handwriting far better than general OCR. Handwriting zones send each zone to OmniRead, line by line; capitals only and allowed characters keep the result tidy. Needs DocView OmniRead running (Settings › DocView OmniRead).

Try it

Create a Batch Setup from this template (Batch Setups › New Batch Setup, tab System features), and download its sample documents from the template's card (Download samples). Then: Make sure DocView OmniRead is set up, then import handwritten-forms.pdf. The hand-printed names, date of birth and postcode are read into the fields.
